Welcome to Turves Green Little League Netball. We play our matches at Turves Green Girls School and offer training at Turves Green Boys School [Sports Hall].
We have six teams and play matches every Saturday morning from March to July. Joining sessions are usually held in February although it is possible to join anytime.
We charge a small annual joining fee of £6 and £3 for a sibling. Kit is provided and we ask for a £20 returnable deposit at the end of the season when the kit is returned.
Our league practises the Little League philosophy of fair play, fun and enjoyment. All players get to play at least half a match, and everybody takes it in turn to play the same number of full matches and half matches. We also rotate the positions, so everyone gets equal chance at playing their favourite positions. In terms of skill development, your daughter will become a much more rounded player. Our end of season tournament will be run as a handicap tournament, thus giving those teams that came towards the bottom of the league another chance to shine, and for those teams that came towards top of the league, they will find the handicap system more of a challenge. All players receive medals as we like to reward enthusiasm, committment and sporting behavious as well as winning the league or tournament. We hold an end of season presentation disco for all the family to attend. A night not to be missed!!
Training: We run weekly coaching by fully qualified coaches, taking part is optional, however we do recommend it. The sessions are held on Thursdays, 6.00pm - 7.00pm at Turves Boys School, Sports Hall. Just turn up or call Julie 07807027289.
Too old for Little League, why not come along to our Intermediate Club for girls in school years 7,8,9 and 10. Training is at Turves Boys School on Thursdays 5.00 - 6.00pm.
