On this page you will find information and application forms for netball coaching courses for teachers, coaches and those interested in coaching.
UKCC/1st4Sport Level One and Level Two Courses
NEW!!
Birmingham Sport are in the process of applying for 1st4sport accreditation, which will mean we will be in a position to organise and run our own UKCC Level One and Level Two courses. Until then, we will be hosting a UKCC Level One Course at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School on Saturday 13th June and Satrurday 4th July, 9.00am - 5.30pm with the assessment on EITHER 25th or 26th July. The cost is £170. Expensive yes, but it is an excellent course, with several tutors to ensure you get the support you require. It is expected this course will fill up very quickly. Applications are not yet being taken, however to ensure you get the application form ahead of others, please email me with your interest. Further Level One courses are planned for October, and a Level Two is also planned for October 2009.
Coaching employment
The City of Birmingham Coach Pool offers fantastic employment and continual professional development opportunities for coaches. The pool deploys hundreds of coaches in schools, sports camps and clubs and offers free training in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Emergency Aid, other courses are subsidised. In addition we provide free enhanced CRB's. Would you like to be part of the team? Rates of pay reange from £8.67 to £16.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Course programme
EN 7 - 11 [Key stage 2] Combined Coaching and Umpiring Course
A practical course for those with little or no experience of coaching netball to children. The course covers the coaching of basic skills such as movement, throwing, cathing and shooting as well as the rules of the game and a section on umpiring

Who is the course for: Primary School Teachers, Classroom Assistnats, Parent Helpers, Little League Managers, PGCE students and other adults interested in working with this age group.
