Sports Coach UK: Safeguarding and Protecting Children 2: Reflecting on Practice (SPC2) NEW!
A pre-requisite for this training is to have attended Safeguarding & Protecting Children (1) at least 12 months prior to this training, this is to enable you to have put your training into practice.
Developed in partnership with the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit, this workshop is the long-awaited follow-up to ‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’ that qualified coaches are expected to attend every three years. Instead of attending the same workshop again, coaches can now reinforce and strengthen their understanding of safeguarding without repeating the first workshop.
‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children 2’ differs from its predecessor in that it deliberately builds upon the practical experience you have already gained in your day-to-day role as a coach; giving you the chance to reflect upon as well as learn from other coaches’ experiences.
