The City of Birmingham Coach Pool offers fantastic employment and continual professional development opportunities for coaches. The pool deploys hundreds of coaches in schools, sports camps and clubs and offers free training in Safeguarding and Protecting training and Emergency Aid, other courses are subsidised. In addition we provide free enhanced CRB's. Would you like to be part of the team? Rates of pay reange from £8.67 to £16.00 per hour depending ion qualifications. Course programme
EN 7 - 11 [key stage 2] Combined Coaching and Umpiring Award
When: Sunday 8th June 2008
Where: Birmingham Sports Centre, Highgate, Birmingham
Cost: £30 or £45 with additional resources

About the course: A six hour practical course to help you learn the basic skills of netball and provide you with simple practises and new ideas for coaching children aged 7 - 11 years. This is combined with learning the rules and having a go at umpiring. The course is ideal for those with little or no knowledge of netball. Primary teachers, Students, Parent helpers, Little League Managers, Learning Assistants etc are all welcome to attend.

UKCC/EN Level Two Club Coach Award
When: 16th/17th August,13th/14th September, 4th October 2008
Where: Hamstead Hall School, Craythorne Avenue, Handsworth Wood, B20

Skills Workshop: Attacking moves and how to apply these to attacking strategies
When: Sunday 21st September 2008
Where: Selly Park Girls School, Pershore Road, Selly Park, Birmingham 29.

About the Tutor: Mel Tuckwell is a Level 3 qualified coach, and led the Welsh U21 Squad to The World Youth Championships in Florida in 2005, She was also Assistant Welsh Coach in 2000. Mel has also been in involved with coaching the Senior Welsh squad and U19s, Welsh Superleague franchise The Celtic Dragons and is currently Assistant Coach for Netball Superleague franchise Team Northumbria. Mel also represented Wales as a player at all levels and was the Performance Analyst at the Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002. Mel currently works as a Senior lecturer at The University of Northumbria and has been intrinsic to the development of the Netball UKCC qualifications at levels 1, 2 and 3 and is active as a UKCC Field Based Trainer, Tutor and Assessor across the UK.
Workshop format: Mel will work with a group of players on the above topic, coaching the players and at the same time interacting with you the coaches. You will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the workshop. You will be able to take notes, although the tutor will supply notes of her session.

UKCC/England Netball Level One Assistant Coach Award
EN Young Netball Organisors Course [for those aged 14 - 18 years]:
UKCC/EN Level Two Upgrade Course - this course is for those who currently hold the 'old' Level Two coach award. In order to retain your qualification you must upgrade before 2010.
