Course programme  
 
1st4sport/UKCC England Netball Level TWO Coach Award
 
When: Saturday 22nd May, Sunday 23rd May, Sunday 13th June, Sunday 20th June and Sunday 11th July 2010.  All five days must be attended.
 
Times: 9.00am - 6.00pm each day [although it does tend to finish before 6.00pm]
 
Where: DameElizabethCadburySchool, Woodbrook Road, Bournville, Birmingham
 
Cost: £360.00
Entry requirement: Candidates are required to have attended (prior to completion of the course) a recognised Child protection/Duty of Care training course and a recognised Emergency 1st Aid course. Please note ‘completion’ means that you will not obtain your certificate/qualification until you have completed the courses. For example if one of the courses takes place after the last date of the course, this is still acceptable.  For information about these courses – see below. First Aid and Child Protection certificates expire after 3 years.

First Aid:  a ONE day course:  11th March - 9.00am to 4.30pm - House of Sport, 25th April - 9.00am to 4.30pm - Venue TBC, 13th May - 9.00am to 4.30pm - Venue TBC, 12th June - 9.00am to 4.30pm - Venue TBC, Cost: £25.00
 
Safeguarding Children:  a ½ day course. 18th February 2010 - House of Sport, 300 Broad Street, Birmingham B1 2DR - 10.00am to 1.00pm, 13th April 2010 - Venue TBC - 10.00am to 1.00pm, 16th May 2010 - Venue TBC - 10.00am to 1.00pm, 14th June 2010 - Venue TBC - 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Cost:   £25.00

EN 7 - 11 [Key stage 2] Combined Coaching and Umpiring Course
 
A practical course for those with little or no experience of coaching netball to children.  The course covers the coaching of basic skills such as movement, throwing, catching and shooting as well as the rules of the game and a section on umpiring
 
When: Sunday 28th February 2010  Places still available!!
 
Where: Kingsbury Community Leisure Centre, Erdington
 
Who is the course for: Primary School Teachers, Classroom Assistants, Parent Helpers, Little League Managers, PGCE students and other adults interested in working with this age group.

Coaching employment
 
The City of Birmingham Coach Pool offers fantastic employment and continual professional development opportunities for coaches.  The pool deploys hundreds of coaches in schools, sports camps and clubs and offers free training in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Emergency Aid, other courses are subsidised.  In addition we provide free enhanced CRB's.  Would you like to be part of the team?  Rates of pay range from £8.67 to £16.00 per hour depending on qualifications.  Then give me a call - Susan Bell, Sports Development Manager - Netball, 0121 464 6009.
